“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”
Matthew 28:18
“When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.”
Revelation 1:17-18
God sent His son, they called Him JESUS
He came to love, heal and forgive
He lived and died to buy my pardon
An empty grave is there to prove my savior lives
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He lives, all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living, just because He lives.
HALLELUJAH
Amen! Crissy, thanks for sharing your faithful witness. The hymn fills me up with the Spirit. Hallelujah to our Risen Savior!

Because JESUS lives and I know He holds the future! Another marvelous song, reminder, and post, Crissy! Like the other worship songs, you posted, this too has a good background story! Yes, life is worth living, just because JESUS lives. Blessings to you and your service to GOD. Good night!

I didn’t check the background story for this hymn. Must check it out .

Actually, it is a story of Pastor Bill and Gloria Gaither in the lowest point of their lives, uncertainties of the time and the birth of their son. That is what I can remember 13 years ago. They have great worship songs and events.

Thanks, Crissy! I haven’t heard this encouraging song in a loooooong time. That’s what I get for going to a mega-church for 4.5 years.

Hallelujah in triplicate! What a Saviour He is. I have very fond memories of a sister in Christ who sang that chorus with great fervour, I thank God in my remembrance of her.
