“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
Colossians 3:1-4
Crissy, thanks for this good exhortation! I ultimately desire to see things through spiritual eyes, but regularly “slip up.”

I think we all do specially during times of mental anguish and stream pressure.

This is a favorite of mine. When I set my mind on things above, what’s here holds very little power over me…no reason to fear or worry…hope remains.

That’s so true. The key word is “when” so many times I fail .

Remembering the times we didn’t fail encouraged us all the more to set our minds above.

Very good word Crissy! It helps me when I intentionally focus my thoughts on heavenly things. Seeking peace, from Christ, Gods love, joy and love in the Holy Spirit. The attributes of Christ himself, for all that is Christ’s are ours, as we who are in Christ, are co-heirs with Jesus.
without intentional times for this, the cares of this life do tend to want to overrun our minds and thoughts.

Well said Patricia. We have to intentionally focus on heavenly things or else we will be overrun by temporal worldly things.
