“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 NASB
THE LORD IS NEAR

Thank you Crissy! One of the most beautiful verses in the Holy Scriptures which should assuredly bring peace and solace to anyone who believes! Yesterday a fellow blogger asked me which was my favorite verses and I said on the blog that so many are but one in particular came to my mind being so appropriate, which I’m sharing there with you and i will share this verse you gave us to reflect upon today with her!
I’ll have to think about a favorite scripture I love so many but I think God wanted me to say this right now, as it came immediately to my mind when I picture the baby I met today with her nice grandmother. And, I know this is what God wants me to say because as you were aware I was troubled by some of these global events happening currently to the point of not sleeping well and the effect has been noticeable in my speech and thinking the last couple of days as I also see my enemies local and otherwise are still hating me and looking to hurt me further as they are influenced by evil without a doubt but this is the TRUTH God says to focus on NOW!
“2 Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have [a]ordained strength,
Because of Your enemies,
That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.” Psalm 8:2 New King James Version (NKJV)

Thank you Lawrence for sharing what God is showing you. We live in uncertain times, things are changing rapidly. But He tells us in His Word that it will be so and the return of Jesus gets closer. Praising God that He is our Rock and on His Word alone we stand no matter what!!. These a good times to share the true gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost as fear and uncertainty will make them people more receptive.
Blessings 😊

You just said it there Sister in Christ; these times are revealing the worst in humanity but causing it to draw closer to the Lord and each other in order to seek comfort and understanding! Praise our Lord Jesus Christ! God Bless You and Yours! 😊 🙏 🙏
I hope to share more soon too!

I have always loved the serious word play in that verse. The incomprehensible Peace of God will guard (like a sentry) our hearts and minds. That’s quite a promise when we give over any anxiety we have to Him.

The hardest part at times for me Gary, is giving the anxiety over and leaving it with the Lord.

I understand completely. I hate it when I think I did and something happens to make me realize I hadn’t. Maybe I give my anxieties over to the Lord in small increments?.
