“We mustn’t allow our circumstances and disappointments to become the excuse for the choices we make in life. God is greater than all of that, and He can bring beauty out of ashes. Our trials come, Augustine said, “to prove us and to improve us.”

―Alistair Begg,

Don’t allow disappointments in life to give you what seems at the time a justified reason for a bad choice.

I did.  Almost nine years ago I allowed my disastrous circumstances and disappointment to forge an idea in my mind.  I followed through with what seemed like the best thing for me at time.   Not before letting God know that since He had let me down I had no other choice.  What an utter fool I was.

Had I known then that God was Sovereign,  I would not have fallen into the trap of self deceit.

BUT GOD, has been so loving and kind in my present circumstances. He has given me the strength to continue living for Him everyday and filled me with the love I need to bestow on those close to me that were affected by my stupidity.

I am suffering daily the consequences of my error and choice, (MY SIN AND REBELLION) there is no escaping that, BUT GOD, has taught me so much during these last nine years.  He not only forgave my disobedience but brought me back to Himself.

His love is so real, so tangible that I can not stop the tears of gratitude when they come rushing down like water.

When I look back and see where I was and where God has brought me I am amazed at the transformation.  To Him be the all Glory!

God the Holy Spirit is the Spirit Of Truth, and He will lead us into all Truth.  I made mistakes for not knowing and studying the Truth as found in God’s Word.  I just followed  the teachings of the Church I was attending at the time. I was not like the Bereans (Acts 17/11).

I failed God.  I rebelled. I was disobedient.  BUT GOD In His love and mercy received me back to Himself.    It took much pain and many tears to get me there.

BUT GOD is so faithful. Blessed be His Holy Name.

Don’t allow disappointment and circumstances dictate your choices in life.

RUN TO JESUS.

“For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.”
