Have you ever thought about the day when you will stand before the Judgement Seat Of Christ?
It’s a sobering reality that one day all believers will stand before Jesus Christ and our works will be judged.
So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
2 Corinthians 5: 6-10
But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Romans 14:10
I have heard very few teachings, if any, on this solemn subject.
Does the thought ” we will all stand before the Judgement seat of Christ ” impact you?
Personally I need to take a serious look at my life right now and assess where changes need to be made. I do not want to stand before Jesus on that day feeling regret or even sadness.
Digging deeper into this topic, I found this powerful sermon that I would like to share with you.
Judgment Seat of Christ by Leonard Ravenhill Topic: Judgment Seat Of ChristDescription: This is a powerful message on the Judgement Seat of Christ. This message will challange you to question the way you are living as a Christian today compared to the eternal reality that we are going to go before God one day to give an account of our life. |
May we live in obedience and daily yield to the guidance and the direction of the Holy Spirit so that we may be ready on that awesome day.
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
Revelation 22:12-13
“Personally I need to take a serious look at my life right now and assess where changes need to be made. I do not want to stand before Jesus on that day feeling regret or even sadness.”
So true, Chrissy.

Thanks, Crissy! I will listen this week when I’m not working. Pastor Copeland preached on this very topic last Sunday which I’ll be posting on my Arkansas preaching series in a couple of weeks.

Thanks, Crissy. That we don’t take too lightly our Salvation in Christ! Be that as it may, I would gladly stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ rather than the Great White Throne judgement. 🙏

I listened to Leonard Ravenhill message here. He seems to have confused the Judgment Seat of Christ with the Great White Throne Judgment. They are two separate judgements. He described the Great White Throne Judgment of the dead. He seems to have the two judgments mixed together. The dead and the living in Christ are not judged together. That is my position and I’m confident that I, also, have the indwelling Holy Spirit.

I agree with you GW. I hold to the same position .
When I listened to the sermon to the very end It seemed clear to me that he made a clear
distinction between the two.

Sorry GW the message was sent in error.
What I was trying to explain is towards the end he makes a clear distinction between the two.

Ok I went fairly far into it Crissy but didn’t quite finish. I will pick it up from where I left off. Does he finally make a good distinction between the two?

I thought so.
But please let me know if you found it to be so.
Any doubts I will remove the video.
Thank you GW

My goodness, Crissy you are so right! I was right there when I stopped the first time! Next time I’ll listen completely before I speak. He did a good job telling us why we’re where we are this very day in the western church! Thank you! 😪🙏

And today is worse in the western church than when he preached that sermon.

God has been dealing with me about Priority and Perception. And yes, I often time speak with my ministerial associates about standing before the Judgement Seat Of Christ? And the one scripture we always end up discussing is Galatians 5:7 — Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?… Great Post! Blessings and Peace!
