His name was already decided, he would be called  Winston.  Much thought had gone into choosing a name, it had to be just perfect.
I imagined the long daily walks around our picturesque neighbourhood that Winston and I would enjoy.

And then of course at the beach.

A picture perfect vision of  Winston and I running carelessly and freely before allowing the ocean waves to wash off the sand as we splashed happily in the water.
Oh yeah! I could almost touch the moment, Winston and I, what a team we would be!

until…… I saw the “price tag”.

Aargh!  The price was more than I could ever afford for a Cavoodle.
( I had no idea designer dogs were so terribly expensive!! ).

Almost Winston

Broken-hearted with my vision shuttered to pieces, I walked around Pet’s World asking myself:

What can Crissy afford?

MMM….

It was then that I saw her,  she looked so peaceful and loving, As I placed my index finger on the fish tank she quickly came over and blew little bubbles in the water.  Kisses of course!!,

It was love at first sight, I knew we would get on famously.

And the price was just right.   So it was that my Oranda goldfish and I went home together.
I named her “Princess Esmeralda”

Princess Esmeralda

After a few weeks her Russian prince arrived, “Gustav”.

Now, they live happily ever after in Tank World.

Prince Gustav

I couldn’t afford the price tag for Winston but I was able to replace him with what I could afford.

There is a price tag that I could never afford to pay.   The price tag for my sin.

Sin’s price tag is greater than you or I can pay.  The Bible says that the wages of sin is death, (Romans 6:23…….  )not just physical death but eternal death in the Lake of Fire( Revelation 21:8)

Sin will  cost each of us eternal life in Hell and ultimately the Lake of Fire unless we accept Jesus’ payment for our sins.
And that’s the good news, God sent Jesus!   The rest of Romans 6:23 says……”but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Trust in Jesus alone as the payment for your sins.

“Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.””

Acts‬ ‭17:30-31‬ ‭

‭‭

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Sonthat whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting lifeFor God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the worldbut that the world through Him might be savedHe who believes in Him is not condemnedbut he who does not believe is condemned alreadybecause he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3: 16-18
