“As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written: “Y OU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.””
1 Peter 1:14-16
Take time to be holy, speak oft with thy Lord;
Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word.
Make friends of God’s children, help those who are weak,
Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.
Take time to be holy, the world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone.
By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be;
Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see.
Take time to be holy, let Him be thy Guide;
And run not before Him, whatever betide.
In joy or in sorrow, still follow the Lord,
And, looking to Jesus, still trust in His Word.
Take time to be holy, be calm in thy soul,
Each thought and each motive beneath His control.
Thus led by His Spirit to fountains of love,
Thou soon shalt be fitted for service above
Amen! We strived to be holy, Crissy! GOD bless you and your family!

Take time to be holy…the enemy hates it! He will try to distract us from holy communion with our Father God, a sure sign we are on the right track.

Thank you for the exhortation, Crissy! The Lord calls us to holiness and that is our daily journey by His grace.

Being involved as a participant in the holiness of God is not obtained from the cheap seats of what is known as Christianity to the world or even within many of our churches. No, this is where our lips and hearts have been cauterized and healed. It’s where we tug on the hem of our Lords garments while “not my will but thine be done”. It’s where we arise from bended knees to easily wield swords bigger than we can lift and pierce the darkness with His light. It’s where we die to live. OK Crissy, This kind of hit my “Good Morning Jesus” button.

Thanks for sharing this post. I love the music. I love the message of the words. We often forget about “HOLINESS.” That should not be the case. Please keep up your good work.
