“In times of affliction we commonly meet with the sweetest experiences of the love of God.” ~John Bunyan
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
Romans 5:1-5
True, Crissy, when our faith is firmly anchored with the Triune GOD and His assurances/promises, then no tribulation that we will encounter (in our own life) can ever dissuade us to lose hope in Him.

Great message! I enjoyed the wisdom of John Bunyan, and I recently read Romans 5 as part of a short devotion. Thank you Crissy for sharing these timely words.

This has been tried, tested and found true in My life cissy. My wife and I talk often about this, but not in the sense of wanting more affliction
