For our getaway we chose a beautiful place in Sydney called Manly.
Manly has a beautiful beach, quaint little restaurants and quirky shops with lots friendly people.
We both loved the ocean so the place we chose was perfect for us.
Every morning we would walk on the beach and admired the vast ocean as the waves roared on the seashore. How can one not be filled with awe at the God of all creation? even more criminal and foolish how can ANYONE even deny His existence?
As we walked on the beach, the sand got my attention and two Scripture verses came to my mind.
THE PROMISE TO ABRAHAM
“And the angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from heaven and said, “By myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies, and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.””
Genesis 22:15-18
THE PROMISE FULFILLED IN JESUS CHRIST
In the book of Revelation we see a “great multitude that no one could number”
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.””
Revelation 7:9-12 ESV
How amazing, how awesome is this God who created everything!
In His mercy God reached out to sinful humanity heading for eternal judgement in the person on Jesus Christ offering the free gift of salvation to all who would believe. HOW CAN I BE SAVED?
Amen Sonrisa! God bless!

Crissy, I’m happy for you that you were able to enjoy this getaway with your friend. Yes, nature is a beautiful testimony to the Lord. Even a walk along a beach reminds us of Scripture and Jesus!
Question: Is it a requirement that all of the men living in Manly be manly men? 🤣

I hope you had a good time. What a good lesson from the sand in the seashore of God’s promises!

Yes Crissy, we most definitely have an “awesome” God. I saw the Atlantic Ocean for the first time back in September, and I was totally awestruck by the scene along the beach (much the same as you have described). Then I discovered a sand sculpture depicting Jesus, and my camera was ready and waiting. There is a photo in my gallery taken from Ocean City, Maryland. I am pleased you could enjoy an intimate visit with some of God’s creation. God’s peace!
