I found the information contained in the post very helpful and informative. During our team’s weekly street outreach, we do come across at times with people from the JW’s faith. I learned a lot from the post and took notes.

PRAY FOR SAM

Yesterday as we were in the street reaching out to passers by, a man in his late thirties approached us. We were listening intently to what he had to say, until he revealed that he was a “Jehovah’s Witness”. At this point my team moved away and left me alone with him.

Taking my cues from the post I had read, I found out his name is Sam. He was a Muslim originally from Lebanon, converted to the JW’s faith. If you read the post, you will know that it said to be “ a pupil and not a teacher”. I prayed the Lord would give me a humble heart and that Sam would see the love of Christ in me.

I knew that my meeting with Sam yesterday morning was “no coincidence”. I trembled with fear of God and ask that the Holy Spirit will guide my words and actions. “Please Lord, don’t let me say the wrong thing, guide me Holy Spirit”, was my internal cry to God.

Sam and I began discussing the differences in our faith. MAJOR differences in our faith. He had his Bible I had mine. We opened our Bibles and I followed his lead. He was showing me verses that spoke of Jesus being the “First born of creation”, he took me to verses such as Colossians 1:15. He kept insisting that Jesus was created.

I showed him these verses and asked him to explain to me what they meant:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Sam kept of showing me that Jesus was the first born of creation and that Jesus prayed to the Father. He said that Jehovah was the ONLY God.

I asked him to read Isaiah 44:6

“Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.”

I made sure he read “ BESIDES ME THERE IS NO GOD”

and then I took him to the book of Revelation and showed him the words of Jesus.

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

Revelation‬ ‭22:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We talked for a very long time, Sam and I. My concern for him was genuine.
I did notice in his eyes that some of the Scriptures I was showing him took him by surprise.

The last verse I shared with Sam is found in John28:28

“And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”

I told Sam that I would pray for him, that God would open his eyes to the truth.

I also was given the opportunity to share my testimony with Sam, I told him how God opened my eyes to the deception of the Roman Catholic Church and revealed His Truth and His Son to me.

I am so thankful for the post that was written by Helen and reblogged by Beth. God used it to prepare me to meet Sam. it was no coincidence, God used three of His children to reach Sam yesterday. I have tears in my eyes as I type these words.
God is so AMAZING!!

Pray for Sam. I do believe God is calling him.
