“So we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.
In fact, we are confident, and we would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. Therefore, whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to be pleasing to him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.”
2 Corinthians 5:6, 8-10 CSB

Geoff Thomas was my pastor at university in mid Wales over a decade ago! We still occasionally email, he’s still going strong 🙂

Crissy, thanks for this message! Our gaze must always be on Jesus and His Kingdom rather than on the fluctuating circumstances of this world.

Yes, when we take our eyes of Jesus we drown in our circumstances.

I love the quote. What a wonderful truth that when we die we will see the living Word of God-Jesus 🙂
