To all my dear friends,
I am slowly catching up with reading all your posts. I have not forgotten you. Life has taken another unexpected turn for me. I am going through some serious situations at the moment, so the bad news from the doctor on Tuesday was the last thing I needed.
Expect the unexpected!,
Well, I wasn’t ready for it. It hit me like a ton of bricks.
Those of you who read my little blog would perhaps remember that I broke my wrist in June, and in July I had to undergo an operation to straighten my broken bones. As a consequence the doctor sent me for a bone density test.
The results from the scan were straight forward, no mincing words here, I have advanced osteoporosis. I was told I have the bones of an 120 year old woman. ( Of course I would be a spring chicken if I was living before the flood)
Some tests will be carried out in the next few weeks to see if I was alive back in the days of the dinosaurs before starting treatment.
So glad the Lord is carrying me through all this episodes that have attacked my life so unexpectedly. God is so amazing!!! At my weakest moment this morning, He spoke to me in Psalm 121 and calm my restless soul. I trust Him ever so completely. His steadfast love sustains me. He is so good.
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.”
Psalms 121:1-8
“Let this encourage those of you who belong to Christ: the storm may be tempestuous, but it is only temporary. The clouds that are temporarily rolling over your head will pass, and then you will have fair weather, an eternal sunshine of glory. Can you not watch with Christ for one hour? “~ Williams Gurnall
Praying for you sister! God is with you and He loves you!

Wow, Crissy.. I’m so sorry to hear about this. But I’m so glad to see you fall back on Jesus! He is so good, even when we think we’ve heard the worst about our situation.. He’s still in control. I’ll be praying that all of your tests come back well. God bless you, Sister!

Thanks, Crissy! What a HOPE and COMFORTER we have! My wife is currently on short-term disability because of complications from her scoliosis (osteoporosis is another challenge as I mentioned) and we’re waiting to see if they will change her to long-term disability. In addition, I was recently informed I will be laid off from my company at the end of the month. It’s definitely a fallen world that we journey through on our way home, but we have an indescribable joy and peace in Him.

Crissy, thank you for your prayers, and you are in mine. Here in the U.S. we’re not eligible for government medical insurance until age 65 and I have two more years before I hit that mark so I will need to seek employment. I can purchase medical insurance via my soon-to-be-ex-employer for 18 months but that is still very expensive, around $900 per month.

Wow, that is EXPENSIVE.
is the Gov medical insurance after ags 65 free?

The gov’t pays 80% of medical expenses after age 65. So people still have to purchase supplemental insurance to cover the remaining 20%. That insurance costs around $200 per month.

Thank you, it’s good to be back. 😊 You’re absolutely right.. it’s in the trials of life that we experience Him more fully and are changed. I pray God continues to bless you and bring through this trial as gold in the furnace! ❤

We are praying for you. All is His, even our infirmities. It is during our most difficult times that He reveals the greatness of His presence, His goodness, and His grace. Blessings for you as you lean on Him and trust in HIs mercy. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart.

Wow I’m praying. I’m rather behind on WordPress, we had some rough situation to deal with earlier this week that really drained me emotionally and physically. Was a situation that escalated to us having to call the police that flowed from my ministry to difficult people. Anyways, I’m at a tangent. I’m praying. It sounds very serious for you in light of what they said about your bones

I hope all is ok now pastor Jim. It must have been very serious that the police had to be called. I trust no one was hurt.
Monday I am seeing the doc again.

My Mom is nearly 82, and she has a spine that is curved from side to side. She has stayed vigilant with her exercises to strengthen her core to help alleviate her back pain. I lift her up to you as an example of living through each and every precious day.
